A girl was abused by her aunt because a boy told his mothe Sita Kisanga that the girl was possessed by an evil spirit called kindoki. This happened in the UK, the people concerned are of Angolan origin. The girl was beaten with a belt, cut with a knife and put in a laundry bag and told she'd be thrown into a river. Apparently this fculture is common in the community of the people concerned. Sita Kisanga said in an interview that she believed that this girl who was 8 years-old was going to Africa in the night to do bad things there. I have to say I wasn't even aware of this really although I know that their have been ritual killings in London. This story has made me wonder why it is not a criminal offence to have such screwed up beliefs. People who believe this will go around abusing people litterally trying to beat the devil out of them if it is believed that they are possessed by Kindoki. Some children are sent back to Africa to meet their fate. Surely more could be done to stop this. These beliefs seem to stem from Angola and the two Congos. Wouldn't it be a good idea to ask the child why she was been sent there when it arrives at the airport giving it a chance to tell of what's happening? Once these facts are established, the police should then in my opinion be called to deal with these people. These people should have to give names of all they know who practice these beliefs so they can be dealt with by police. It is obvious to me that these people are dangerous and need to be got rid of or at the very least put in mental institutions. I mean, how can a child fly off to Africa in the night from London to do bad things when she is just 8 years old and be back for more abuse the next day? Come on. These people are just screwed up!

Its accepted here because in the nanny state created by blair, we must embrace cultural diversity and that includes such people....And 1 can bet that if the police did intervene the accused would scream racisim and harassment ..we have gone too far in this country as far as our cultural tolerance is concerned

what is the answer though! the reality is, if this girl wasn't abused in this country, chances are she would be abused back home in Africa. these people should effectively be deported for the horrific crimes they carry out, but at least here the girl should now get help, well that's the theory anyway. As for Africa .. well it really is about changing culture, and that just isn't going to happen. the beliefs and culture are just too deep.

Yeah, I'm not for deporting these people, they're harmful and I don't rthink we should send the problem elsewhere, we should just eradicate it instead by getting rid of these people. Luckily, the victim is able to get help and hopefully will never have to intigrate with such nutcases in the future. Not a lot of these victims are lucky though, some get sent back and are punnished in their home countries where they have no support at all.
